Viking Line puts AMORELLA on the Stockholm - Helsinki route
Viking Line's new VIKING GLORY will start its service on the Stockholm - Åland - Turku route 1 March and replace AMORELLA. AMORELLA will start its service between Stockholm and Helsinki on 1 April, which means that Viking Line will once again operate with two vessels on the route.
AMORELLA, which has been faithful to the Åbo route for many years, is deployed together with GABRIELLA. This means continuity in the timetable and a better offering for both passenger and freight traffic.
- With AMORELLA, we again achieve continuity in traffic between Stockholm and Helsinki. A regular schedule is appreciated by our travelers and shipping customers. AMORELLA, who is GABRIELLA’s sister, is a very nice and appreciated ship and we are happy to be able to put her on a route where she is needed. Our intentions have been to sell her, but since we have not come to any results, we have decided on this solution. A decision that is supported by the fact that demand between the capitals is currently rising, says Jan Hansen's CEO of Viking Line.
