TT-Line has had a substantial increase in volumes in recent years and is Port of Trelleborg’s largest customer. Currently, TT-Line has seven vessels operating the lines between Trelleborg and Travemünde, Rostock, Swinoujscie and Klaipeda. In 2022, the first of the two Green Ships, is expected to be put into operation. Green Ship is 230 m long and environmentally friendly as it can also be powered by LNG (liquefied natural gas).

With our LNG New Buildings coming next year we will be able to offer our customers not only the capacity they need but also the most environmentally friendly transport solution in the Baltic Sea, adds his colleague Bernhard Termühlen.

It is of great value to us as a port that TT-Line offers as many as four destinations and we look forward to additional capacity with the two new Green Ships. With tomorrow’s new vessels, loading and unloading of freight will be even more efficient and flexible and means that we will be competitive to meet increased freight volumes, says Jörgen Nilsson, CEO, Port of Trelleborg.

The agreement is valid from January 1, 2022, until December 31, 2031.
