Tallink appoints Katre Kõvask as Head of Group International Shore Trade
Tallink Grupp has today announced the appointment of the former CEO of the Tere and Farmi Dairy Industry, Ms Katre Kõvask, as the company’s new Head of Group International Shore Trade from the end of August 2019.
Katre Kõvask is a renowned top level Estonian executive, who has been responsible for bringing many well-known and loved food brands to the Estonian market in her early career as a marketing director and who has been an executive member on the various boards of a number of food and retail organisations. Katre has held the position of CEO of the Management Board of the stock exchange listed food manufacturing and sales company Premia Foods and has also managed the company Pharma Holding. For the last two years, Katre has held the positions of Chief Executive of the Supervisory Board and CEO of the Management Board of the Tere and Farmi Dairy Industry. Today, Katre continues in the role of Supervisory Board Member of the Estonian ice-cream manufacturer LaMuu and as the President of the NGO Estonian Golf and Country Club. Katre Kõvask has graduated from the University of Tartu School of Economics and Business Administration, specialising in International Economy and Marketing.

At the same time Tallink has ambitious plans for onshore growth and several projects already in the pipeline or in progress to grow our business onshore both in Estonia and wider afield. Therefore we decided to ask another top level senior executive to come and join our team and help us implement these projects and plans,“ Paavo Nõgene, CEO of Tallink Grupp said, commenting on the new appointment.
As the new Head of Group International Shore Trade, Katre will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Group’s and its subsidiaries’ shore trade strategy, the business and production concepts of shore trade, the shore trade production units, the shore trade sales points and sales units, will lead the acquisition of new franchises and will have responsibility for the expansion of Tallink’s activities globally.

Katre Kõvask will join the company on 22 August 2019 and her office will be based at Tallink’s Headquarters in Tallinn. Katre Kõvask owns 1,200 Tallink Grupp shares.
