Palumbo Group takes control of Viktor Lenac Shipyard
Palumbo Group acquired Viktor Lenac Shipyard which becomes now member of the largest ship-repair & conversions Group in Mediterranean Sea, this move represents a strategic complement to Palumbo’s current shipyard portfolio.
Palumbo Group, with over 50 years of history, manages shipyards in Naples, Ancona, Messina, Savona, Marseilles, Malta and Tenerife giving work - directly and indirectly - to several thousand people, especially in the construction and repair of ship hulls.
Viktor Lenac, with 122-year-old tradition, is considered one of the major shipyards in the Mediterranean in the field of ship repairs and modifications, but also in the design and construction of offshore installations.
The acquisition of Viktor Lenac offers a great opportunity for Palumbo Group to strengthen his presence in Adriatic area and enrich its service offering ships repair, docking, refit and new building, the Croatian yard brings to the Group precious skills, experienced workforce and know-how.
The expanded business will serve global shipowners with the main focus on repair & conversions on passengers and cargo vessels, offshore units, and naval vessels.
