New board appointments at BC Ferries
BC Ferries welcomes six new board members appointed this week to the British Columbia Ferry Services Board -- the board that provides oversight to the day-to-day operations of the ferry company.
The experience these board members bring, in addition to that of existing members, will be welcome as the company navigates return to ferry travel and the realities of operating in a post-pandemic-restrictions world. Climate change and providing capacity to serve the needs of coastal communities are other important issues facing BC Ferries.
BC Ferries appreciates the board members who have concluded their time on the board -- chair Brenda Eaton and directors Jan Grude, Janine North, Bruce Chan, Gordon Kukec and Judith Sayers and thanks them for their service. Their expertise and commitment to the company has helped us navigate the pandemic and put the ferry system in a healthy position for the future.
