Mr. Podmore is widely recognized as one of Vancouver’s most influential contributors to the real estate industry, and brings decades of experience from a variety of sectors to his role at BC Ferries. As Chairman of Concert Real Estate Corporation, and Chairman and CEO of Concert Infrastructure Ltd., Mr. Podmore is well versed in the development of residential real estate and public infrastructure projects in Canada. A tireless community champion, he played a key role in the development of facilities plans for Vancouver’s bid to host the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He currently serves on the Board of LifeLabs, is an Advisory Committee Director of Balfour Pacific Capital, a member of the BC Hydro Site C Project Assurance Board, and Chair of the BCIT Inspire Capital Campaign. Previously, Mr. Podmore served as Chair of FortisBC and Chair of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Mr. Podmore is the recipient of numerous community and professional awards including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and in 2014, was invested to the Order of British Columbia. He holds an Honorary Doctorate of Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and in November 2018, Mr. Podmore was inducted into the Urban Development Institute’s Hall of Fame.
