Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven: the aim is to secure the long-term future
The provisional insolvency administrators responsible for the future of the shipyard Lloyd Werft, Dr Christoph Morgen for the owning company and Dr Per Hendrik Heerma for the operating company, agreed on the further course of action in Bremerhaven: the common goal is to achieve the best possible purchase price for the owning company and to secure as many jobs as possible for the operating company.
Dr Christoph Morgen, provisional insolvency administrator of MV Werften Holdings Limited as owner of Lloyd Investitions- und Verwaltung GmbH (holding company), says: "We want to secure the long-term future of the site. The site is designated as a shipyard, and Lloyd Werft is efficient."
Dr Per Hendrik Heerma, provisional insolvency administrator of Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven GmbH, explains: "We want to continue shipyard operations, and the Lloyd Werft site is fully available for this purpose. We are able to accept and process orders while the insolvency application proceedings are ongoing."
