Kristian Durhuus, new CEO of ForSea.

The Board of Directors of ForSea AB has appointed Kristian Durhuus as the company's new CEO. He will take up his post on 15 June 2020.

“We are very pleased to announce that Kristian Durhuus will take over as new CEO of ForSea. Kristian is a skilled leader with more than 25 years of related experience. From his work in organizations such as Copenhagen Airport and G4S, he brings with him significant experience in driving business growth and improving the experience for passengers," says Rasmus Christiansen, Chairman of ForSea AB.

Since 2011, Kristian Durhuus has served as Operational Manager (COO) for Copenhagen Airport. Prior to that, Kristian held a leading position in a number of major organizations, including LSG Lufthansa Service and G4S. He holds a master's degree in Business Economics & International Management from Copenhagen Business School.

“I am delighted to be part of ForSea and to assume the role of CEO. It is with great interest that I followed ForSea's journey in recent years and how the business has become a pioneer in sustainable transport in the region. I look forward to continuing to operate in this direction. While this is a challenging and uncertain time for the entire European transport sector, I am convinced that ForSea will continue to be an important regional player for many years to come,” says Kristian Durhuus.

Kristian Durhuus succeeds Jens-Ole Hansen, who has served as temporary CEO of ForSea since February and will now continue his role as COO.
“It has been a privilege to be able to lead ForSea as acting CEO and I am glad that it is precisely Kristian who joins us. The last few months have been a unique and challenging time because of the COVID-19 outbreak, but I feel very proud of how we have handled the situation as a team across borders.”

Since the Danish border restrictions were introduced in March, ForSea has continued to manage up to 100 departures per day. ForSea is an important part of the region's infrastructure and we have ensured continuous transport of goods and hundreds of daily commuters,” says Jens-Ole Hansen.
