Corresponding purchase agreements were signed today, with all parties agreeing not to disclose the purchase price. The purchase agreements still contain various reservations, including the need for antitrust clearance. The closing, i.e. the coming into effect of the contract after fulfilment of the stipulated conditions, is expected for August 2021.

Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft is a company of the Tennor Group, whose founder, Lars Windhorst, says about the acquisition of Nobiskrug: “This takeover is an important strategic step for us. Nobiskrug opens up access to the attractive growth market of superyacht construction. The renowned shipyard stands for innovative and ecologically demanding individual shipbuilding like few others. FSG remains the core of our maritime investment with the construction of merchant and naval vessels, which we are now expanding to include the construction of superyachts.”

In order to increase Nobiskrug’s efficiency, Philipp Maracke, CEO of Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft, will manage both shipyards. The management will be significantly streamlined, Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft and Nobiskrug will establish an operational cooperation: forces will be combined in construction, purchasing, assembly, finance and accounting, human resources and IT, and competitive structures for all shipbuilding projects and markets established. Together, the two companies will employ 645 employees.
