Beginning on July 1st you can cruise again over to Umeå from Vaasa and enjoy a day at sea. On Wednesdays and Sundays, you can book a cruise that only stays an hour in Umeå. On Thursday-Saturday the ferry stays in Umeå for the afternoon. Then you can either go ashore or stay aboard. On the ferry, the shop, the cafeteria and the à la carte restaurant are open. The bar is also open.

"During the spring we have mainly been transporting cargo, and now it feels good that we can continue with the cruise traffic, at least from Finland. A new thing for this summer is that during day cruises, you can stay on board in Umeå if you want, or as before, go ashore," says Peter Ståhlberg, Managing Director of Wasaline.

We have also put into practice all the recommendations that, among other things, EU Healthy Gateways recommend, and the shipping company has continuously worked with preventative measures with a very committed staff. At our most recent ship inspection carried out on June 2, according to the Health Protection Act and carried out by the environmental department of the city of Vaasa, it was found that WASA EXPRESS fully meets all national and international requirements. The safety of our travellers and employees is always the shipping company's highest priority," says Peter Ståhlberg.
