CIUDAD DE PALMA arrives in Mallorca with the new image of Trasmed

The ship has left behind the red of the old shipping company to give way to blue, characteristic of Grimaldi, as the predominant color both on the funnel and on both sides, where the Grimaldi Trasmed label appears.

After spending about a month in the shipyard of La Spezia (Italy), the CIUDAD DE PALMA not only renewed its external image but has also used the yard visit for the installation of scrubbers and refurbishments and improvements of the cabins as well as public spaces.

CIUDAD DE PALMA is the first ship in the fleet of the Italian subsidiary that has renewed its image and will shortly begin the restyling work on the rest of the vessels. It is now the turn for VOLCAN DE TIJARAFE, VOLCAN DEL TEIDE and the CIUDAD DE GRANADA, which will alternate every 45 days in dry dock.

The renewal of the fleet, which will involve an investment of approximately EUR 30 million, also means an advance in the sustainability of the ships thanks to the installation of scrubber polluting gas purification systems in each of them.

The complete restyling of the fleet is scheduled to end 30 May 2022.
