C-Job Naval Architects to open new office in Athens, Greece

C-Job Naval Architects is opening a new office in Athens, Greece. The global independent ship design and engineering company is planning to launch the new office this spring, headed by long-time ‘C-Jobber’ Nikos Papapanagiotou.

Closer to clients

In addition to a response to increased demand, the decision to expand operations with a Greek office was based on the company’s belief that its clients should be closely involved in the entire ship design process, as this yields measurable benefits in the final design.

Now with its global network of offices expanded to six locations, C-Job has even more capacity to support its clients, irrespective of their location, in developing new, innovative and sustainable solutions to their specifications.

The new office confirms the significance of this working philosophy, as Nikos states: “Greece has a rich history in shipping and remains at the center of the global maritime industry today.”

R&D goals

In its position as independent naval architecture company, C-Job has built up a strong reference list of innovative ship designs and engineering projects over the years (you can find a great visual of C-Job’s most recent activities here). This work has included contracts for a wide range of maritime sectors such as Ferries, Dredging, Offshore (Wind) and Mega Yachts.

The company’s activities also include a dedicated Research and Development department. This is active in numerous subject areas, with a common theme of designing ships that are more efficient, functional and sustainable.

Nikos expects these R&D activities to grow with the establishment of the new office in Greece. “We’ve a history of working with naval architects and engineers from Greece and have close relations to several universities. By opening an office in Athens, we’re excited to be able to provide opportunities for local talent; both young and senior, to come work for us as well as expand on our Research and Development efforts.”

With the announcement of the opening of the Athens, Greece office, C-Job now operates in six locations. The existing offices are: three in the Netherlands, one in Ukraine, and one in Houston, Texas.
