Torghatten Nord signs contract with Özata Shipyard for two electric ferries
FerryTorghatten Nord has signed a contract with the Turkish Özata Shipyard for two electric ferries with a battery capacity of 1,960 kWh, built to a design of The Norwegian Ship Design Company.
The ferries will be 76.85 metres long and will have a capacity to carry 202 passengers and 60 vehicles.
The zero (direct)-emission ferries will operate on the Festvåg – Misten route, connecting the road between Bodø and Kjerringøy.
Delivery of the two is set for June and September 2026.
