Tallink Grupp extends charter agreement for SILJA EUROPA to Holland
FerryTallink Grupp has announced that the company’s subsidiary Tallink Silja OY has signed a contract with Slaapschepen Public BV, an organisation nominated by Centraal Orgaan Opvang Asielzoekers (COA) in the Netherlands, for chartering the company’s vessel SILJA EUROPA to Holland for six months starting from 1 January 2025 (with an option to extend the contract for another 7 + 6 + 6 months after that).
The company’s former Tallinn-Helsinki route vessel, SILJA EUROPA, has been chartered to the Netherlands since August 2022 to provide temporary accommodation for asylum seekers. The vessel has been chartered out over the last few years and will be chartered according to the new agreement with Tallink Grupp’s technical crew.
