
Stena welcomes STENA SHIPPER to its fleet
Ro-roStena RoRo is expanding its fleet with the purchase of the ro-ro vessel GIUSEPPE LUCCHESI. The vessel will be renamed STENA SHIPPER and will fly the Danish flag. In connection with the deal, Stena RoRo takes over a contract with the Tunisian shipping company Cotunav for traffic on the Rades – Marseille route. The seller is CIN (Compagnia Italiana di Navigazione SpA, a company within the Moby Lines SpA group.
“This acquisition is part of further expanding our fleet, broadening our offering and positioning ourselves in the market. STENA SHIPPER is the last ship in a long series of sister ships built at the Danish Odense shipyard and has a large cargo capacity, which combined with low fuel consumption, provides good environmental properties,” comments Per Westling, CEO Stena RoRo.
