STAR OF THE SEAS Completes Its Sea Trials Ahead of August Debut
CruiseThe 250,000gt STAR OF THE SEAS completed her sea trials and returned to the Meyer Turku shipyard. Eight days were spent at sea, during which all systems were thoroughly tested. All tests were completed successfully.
"These were the best sea trials I have ever participated in. There was a strong sense of team spirit throughout. Now it’s time to focus on completing the remaining work on the ship," says Project Manager Jaakko Leinonen.
Debuting in August 2025, the STAR OF THE SEAS is the second ship in the Icon Class, the largest cruise ships built to date. LEGEND OF THE SEAS follows in July 2026 and HERO OF THE SEAS in November 2027. ICON OF THE SEAS was the lead ship in the series, delivered in December 2023.
