
RISVÆR
Second hull for Norleds new Træna contract left Turkey
FerryThe hull of RISVÆR, the second of a total of four 84.5-metre ferries for Norled, left Tersan Shipyard, Turkey, under tow on 1 February, bound for Tersan Havyard in Norway, where the hull will be fully outfitted. SØHOLMEN, the first vessel in the series, which is equipped with 8 MWh battery packs, is in the final stages of outfitting in Norway.
All four ferries will be deployed on Norled’s route between Stokkvågen, Lovund, and Træna. The two remaining ferries in the series will be named KVITVÆR and SJONA. The newbuildings will be delivered continuously from late summer 2026 until year-end 2026/2027. Norleds contract for the Træna connection enters into force on 1 February 2027, and lasts for ten years, until 2037.
