PolSca Baltic Ferries takes delivery of JANTAR UNITY
FerryRemontowa Shipbuilding has delivered newbuilding No. 101, JANTAR UNITY, to PolSca Baltic Ferries. The 195.6-metre-long, 32.2-metre-wide, 47,626 GT vessel has a capacity of 4,100 lane metres for freight and 400 passengers and will take up service on the Swinoujscie - Trelleborg route.
It is the first of three LNG dual-fuel sister vessels ordered at the yard by the former Unity Line and Polferries, which have since merged into Polsca Baltic Ferries. The second and third units in the series are scheduled for delivery in 2026 and 2027.
The RMDC (Remontowa Marine Design & Consulting)-designed ferries each feature four Wärtsilä LNG dual-fuel engines and a battery pack, powering two ABB Azipods for a service speed of 19 knots.
