Polaris Autoliners gains financing for fleet expansion
Ro-roWith the charter of the 3,663 lane-metre LISTA ending shortly, Polaris Autoliners has secured a 12-month charter of the 18,205 GT ESTRADEN, with 2,270 lane metres, from the beginning of January. She will maintain the Ford service between Dagenham and Vlissingen.
ESTRADEN is better suited to the route because she has two hoistable car decks, and her length of 162.7 m makes her a better fit for Dagenham operations. The Bore-owned RoRo is fitted with two Norsepower rotor sails. She is currently on charter to Grendi, where she is likely to be replaced by GRENDI FUTURA.
Meanwhile, Polaris Autoliners has secured a USD 33.2 million refinancing facility from Lombard, part of the UK’s NatWest Group. The facility covers its recent purchase of the 2,000 CEU sisters POLARIS OSLO and POLARIS STAR from GCC.
