More than one million passengers travelled with Scandlines in July
FerryIt has been a busy summer for Scandlines, which operates the Rødby-Puttgarden and Gedser-Rostock routes. In July alone, 1.173 million passengers travelled on the company’s ferries between Denmark and Germany, slightly more than the 1.152 million recorded last year.
The busiest day of the month was Saturday 18 July, when almost 62,000 passengers travelled on Scandlines’ two routes between Denmark and Germany. In 2025, just under 56,000 passengers travelled with Scandlines on its busiest day, Saturday 12 July. Passenger numbers on the busiest day of the summer were therefore more than 10% higher than last year.
