Guernsey’s sea connectivity to be boosted during the winter
FerryBrittany Ferries announce that from 1 November, its conventional ferry service between Guernsey and Portsmouth will increase from six days a week to a daily service, alongside a new link to Cherbourg.
The winter timetable combines direct sailings with a new triangular routing via Cherbourg to Portsmouth, providing a daily freight service Portsmouth-Guernsey, and a new passenger connection between Guernsey and Cherbourg with a crossing time of 3½ hours.
Including Cherbourg, Guernsey will thereby now connect to five ports: Portsmouth, Poole, Cherbourg, St Malo and Jersey.
