Former MSC cruise ship sank in Goa, India
Presumably the former MSC MELODY will end up in a scrap yard after sinking alongside her berth in the Western India Shipyard in Goa.
According to various Indian media strong rain was responsible for the flooding of the QING, which was laid up since nearly three years.
Meanwhile, the first salvage works started.
The cruise ship was sold in autumn 2013 to the Indian conglomerate Sahra India Pariwar and transferred under the name of QING to India. She was going to be converted into a gambling ship but the government of Goa refrained from issuing licenses.
