Fjord Line ready with new Group Management Team
FerryFjord Lines new CEO took office this spring. Now Fjord Line has also appointed a new group management team. Fjord Line CEO Heidi Nag Flikka has appointed four new group directors.
“We have just completed a record-breaking summer season, with a significant increase in passenger numbers. I am convinced that we have enormous potential for further growth,” says Heidi Nag Flikka, who took over as CEO in March this year.
The ferry operator, which carries one million passengers annually between Norway and Denmark, became wholly owned in March by local investors Kontrari of Egersund and West Coast Invest of Bergen.
The company has been strengthened through refinancing and an injection of equity, including a green transition loan for companies investing in more environmentally friendly operations.
A new group management team has been in place at Fjord Line since 1 October:
Heidi Nag Flikka (CEO), Ole Svendsen (Group Director of Operations), Knut Ivar Sirevåg (Group Director of Finance), Hanne Buje Jensen (Group Director of HR) and Kyrre Andresen (Group Director of Onboard Services) are already members of the team, while four new directors have joined this month:
Gaute Løvset is the new Group Director of Business Development. Stine B. Neteland is the new Group Director of Digitalisation. Jørund Rasdal Unneland is the new Group Director of Communications and Public Affairs. And Håkon Leidland has been appointed Group Director of Freight.
Fjord Line has ambitious targets for the coming years, and CEO Heidi Nag Flikka is pleased with the new appointments.
“We aim to achieve a great deal over the next few years, and that requires skilled and experienced leaders throughout the organisation. Fjord Line has considerable potential, and the summer season we have just completed shows that we have strong momentum,” says Flikka.
Her clear objective is to secure growth and improve the company’s profitability.
“We occupy a unique position with our daily sailings between Western Norway and continental Europe, and we see significant opportunities for growth. We already welcome several hundred thousand international guests each year, but we see further potential in this market. This also applies to travel outside the peak season, where we aim to attract more Norwegian and international passengers,” says Flikka.
