DFDS charters AL ANDALUS EXPRESS
FerryDFDS has chartered the RoPax ferry AL ANDALUS EXPRESS. The vessel, built in 1988, with a capacity of 1,257 lanemetres and 200 passengers, and formerly a railway ferry, was deployed by DFDS on 6 April on the route across the Strait of Gibraltar between Algeciras and Tangier Med.
AL ANDALUS EXPRESS, owned by Armas and most recently operating between Tenerife and Las Palmas, arrived in Algeciras on 26 March according to AIS data. The vessel, which has also previously been chartered by DFDS, is scheduled in DFDS’s booking system to remain under charter until the end of June. DFDS already operates the two sister ferries TANGER EXPRESS and KATTEGAT, each with a capacity of 600 passengers and 1,240 lanemetres, on the route between Spain and Morocco.
