1980-Built Brodogradiliste RoRo sold for scrapping
Ro-roThe Turkey-based company Clearline Shipping Ltd. has sold the RoRo vessel GUZEL, built in 1980, for scrapping. The 962 lanemetre GUZEL sailed under the name CIRKIN until 2020 and has been linked to several violations of the arms transport embargo to Libya, but in recent years it mainly operated between Turkey and Russia.
GUZEL was originally built as CRES by the Brodogradiliste “Titovo” shipyard in the former Yugoslavia for the Rijeka-based operator Losinjska Plovidba OOUR Brodarstvo. The vessel later also had periods operating in Scandinavia. First under the name NORDHAV for the Norwegian company Nor-Cargo, and later again under the name NOR HAV for the Danish company Cargo-Link, before the ship began its career in Turkey in 2014 - in recent years sailing under the Tanzanian flag.
