Compangnie Maritime Nantaise (MN) taken over by Sogestran
The French maritime information portal, lemarin.fr, reported that Le Havre-based Sogestran – a leading French inland barge operator – took over MN on 28 June.
Seatruck Ferries underlines commitment in its historic Warrenpoint service
Irish Sea freight specialist Seatruck Ferries has signed a 10-year extension to its agreement with Warrenpoint Harbour Authority.
Extra pax accommodation for Tallink's REGAL STAR
REGAL STAR, Tallink’s Paldiski-Kapellskär freighter, recently underwent modifications to the driver's accommodation. A prefabricated cabin block was lifted onto the ship, increasing the number of passengers and beds to 100 (from 80). The additional cabin space was required as the number of female drivers (who need their own cabins) has soared.
Barreras to build first cruise yacht for The Ritz-Carlton
Barreras Shipyard has today (27 June) confirmed what had been rumoured: it will build the first cruise yacht for The Ritz-Carlton (see also our newspiece of 22 June).
DFDS completes purchase of former MyFerryLink pair
In June 2015 DFDS and Eurotunnel entered into a long-term bareboat charter agreement for RODIN and BERLIOZ which Eurotunnel had taken over from ill-fated SeaFrance in 2012.
