DFDS 2024 financial results – Turkish logistics turnaround considered on track

DFDS reported that revenue rose by 9% to DKK 29.8 billion in 2024, while EBIT fell by 35% to DKK 1.5 billion. The 2025 outlook projects revenue growth of approximately 5% and an EBIT of around DKK 1.0 billion. The integration and financial recovery of Ekol International Transport, acquired by DFDS in mid-November 2024, is on track to achieve a breakeven result by the end of 2025.

CLdN completes multimillion-pound investment in Liverpool terminal

CLdN announced the completion of its multimillion-pound investment in its Brocklebank terminal at the Port of Liverpool. The infrastructure upgrades at the terminal have improved the use of space and will enhance the flow of cargo movements. A new gate set-up and terminal operating system will provide an improved customer experience for dropping off and picking up cargo.

Incat counts down to the launch of the world’s largest electric ship

In just 70 days, on 2 May 2025, Incat Tasmania will launch Hull 096, the largest battery-electric ship ever constructed, and the largest electric vehicle of its kind ever built. This groundbreaking vessel, bound for South America's Buquebus, stands as one of the most significant export achievements in Australian history.

Wasaline 2024 financial results

Wasaline maintained a good operating result of EUR 2.75 million in 2024 (down from EUR 2.9 million in 2023) despite a 3.7% revenue drop. Cargo metres increased by 3.2% in 2024, and cargo units by 1.4%. The number of passengers decreased by 9.4%. Passenger vehicles declined by 9%, and buses decreased by 1.3%.

Tallink Silja Line’s vessel BALTIC PRINCESS to undergo extensive one-month-long renewal and maintenance in Finland

Tallink Grupp announced that BALTIC PRINCESS, operating on the Turku-Stockholm route, will head to planned maintenance at the BLRT Turku Repair Yard, in Naantali, Finland, from 27 February to 19 March 2025. During the dry-docking, in addition to several regular technical maintenance works and upgrades, the vessel's will have an extensive facelift of the main passenger areas which will receive a brand new and modern interior design.

AS Tallink Grupp reported a net profit of EUR 40.3 million for 2024, with an EBITDA of EUR 175 million, based on unaudited financial results released on 20 February 2025. The company transported nearly 5.6 million passengers and generated total revenue of EUR 786 million.

Another Strong Ski Season reported for Stena Line and SkiStar
Interest in ski trips to Sweden remains high, and both Stena Line and SkiStar are experiencing a significant increase in bookings for the ongoing ski season. The Danes continue to choose the Swedish mountains as their destination, and all signs point to booking volumes this year surpassing last season's levels.
As early as last summer, Danes began booking their ski trips via Stena Line, and the ferry operator can now confirm that interest is at a record high. During the Danish winter holidays (week 7), the number of Danish ski travellers using Stena Line's bus service rose by 34 percent compared to the same period last year.
CAPU ROSSU’s keel laid

The keel has been laid for CAPU ROSSU, the 13th E-Flexer class ro-pax ordered by Stena RoRo from CMI Jinling Weihai. The 38,208gt ropax, with a length of 202.9m and 27.8m beam, will have a capacity for 1,035 passengers in 234 cabins and 2,500 lane metres of freight.
Eric D. Nilsson has passed away

Eric D. Nilsson, honorary chairman of Gotlandsbolaget, has passed away at the age of 97 years. Eric started at Gotlandsbolaget in 1964, became CEO in 1970, and through the company Trojaborg controlled a majority stake of Gotlandsbolaget.
