Onorato Armatori introduces ALF POLLAK

Following the termination of her charter to DFDS, Onorato Armotori has introduced the 4,076-lanemetre ALF POLLAK on the Genoa-Livorno-Catania-Malta Motorway of the Sea with occasional calls in Naples.

Baleària has chartered its Visentini-built HEDY LAMARR to Italian operator Caronte for 40 days. The charter will commence once the vessel completes its drydocking in Malta.

Oma Baatbyggeri delivers the second of three 39m catamarans to Norled

FJORDPRINS, the second of three 39m high-speed catamarans built by Oma Baatbyggeri, has been handed over to Norled. The catamaran, which has a capacity of 296 passengers, will service the Tromsø, Finnsnes and Harstad route as of 1 January 2020.

Lindblad Expeditions' new polar vessel NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE has been floated out at Norway’s Ulstein Verft. The 126-passenger capacity vessel will be delivered in January 2020.

Havila increases shareholding in Fjord1 – could consolidate Fjord1 with Havila Kystruten

In a stock exchange release issued earlier this week, Havila Holding, which is the indirect majority owner of Fjord1, has announced to increase its shares in the company.

When laying the keel of the second 208,000gt Global Class at MV Werften in Rostock on 9 December, Genting Hong Kong grasped the opportunity to announce the launch of a new class of ships dubbed Universal Class – a significantly smaller ship series aimed at global hotel brands that want to penetrate the cruise market, but are unable to do so due to the unavailability of building slots at shipyards.

Seatruck Ferries’ 1,830-lanemetre CLIPPER PENNANT has ended her charter with Canary Bridge Seaways, the Baleària-Fred. Olsen Express joint venture that operates a thrice weekly service between Huelva and the Canaries.
Hyundai Mipo bags order for domestic ro-pax ferry

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) has inked a contract with Hydex Corporation for the construction of a 27,000gt ro-pax ferry to be introduced on the Incheon-Jeju overnight service during the second half of 2021.

SCHOTTEL to propel world’s first hydrogen ferry
Two new environmentally friendly vessels for the Norwegian ferry operator Norled will be propelled by high efficiency azimuth thrusters from SCHOTTEL. First CoCo Yachts Coastal Cruiser 448 delivered to Zan Fast Ferries
On November 28th 2019, the first of two CoCo Yachts Coastal Cruiser 448 vessels, named ZANZIBAR 1, was delivered to Zan Fast Ferries Company Limited. After good competition between world known fast ferry players, CoCo Yachts – Plenty Ships were able to secure this order. The sister ship, ZANZIBAR 2, will do sea trials end of December 2019, and will be delivered shortly after.
