SOL expand their fleet
Ro-roSOL (Svenska orient linjen) has added the ro-ro vessel VINTERLAND, former TRANSREEL, to their fleet. She is currently on a long-term charter to Metsä Board, a producer of boxboards and white linerboards, but will now add capacity to SOL’s Baltic Sea network.
"We are happy to announce that VINTERLAND, will be added to our network. SOL will from now on serve the Metsä Husum mill with VINTERLAND including an additional call with a liner vessel calling Husum southbound from Kemi and Oulo."
"SOL will take care of the transport needs of Metsä Board from Husum to several destinations in Europe. It shows that SOL would like to expand in the forest industry shipping sector", said Ragnar Johansson, Svenska Orient Linien AB.
VINTERLAND has a carrying capacity of 11.396 tonnes, and gross tonnage of 18.773.
