No foreign competition for Jadrolinija and Rapska Plovidba
Croatian media report that no bids were received from foreign ferry companies to operate the eight most profitable passenger/ferry lines along the east Adriatic coast.
Chile’s ASENAV to build Polar expedition vessel for Antarctica XXI
The spate of newbuilding contracts for polar expedition cruise ships continues apace with Chilean shipyard ASENAV (Astilleros y Servicios Navales) winning the contract to build a 4,900 gt, 100 passenger capacity vessel for domestic air-cruise specialist Antarctica XXI, based in Punta Arenas.
Firm order for Brittany Ferries
Brittany Ferries has today (20 June) confirmed that the LOI earlier signed with Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft for a dual fuel LNG-electric ferry has become a firm order.
ADONIA back in ex-UK service for P&O
P&O Cruises' popular adults-only ship ADONIA has returned to Southampton to begin a summer programme of itineraries to Northern Europe, Mediterranean and Canary Islands following a refit at Portland which includes a new restaurant from wine guru Olly Smith and additional entertainment options.
