Study back new NZ ferry
A plan to start a daily ro-ro service between the New Zealand ports of Whanganui and Motueka has received backing in a feasibility study.
Nod for new Lyttelton cruise terminal
New Zealand’s Lyttelton – the port for main South Island city Christchurch – is to invest NZD 56m in a new cruise terminal capable of accommodating ships up to OASIS OF THE SEAS size (362 metres).

Disney Cruise Line’s DISNEY WONDER became the first cruise ship to use the new expanded locks in the Panama Canal when she made a southbound transit on April 29, while on a cruise between Port Canaveral and San Diego.
