Stena RoRo acquires HAMMERODDE from Danske Færger A/S
To become surplus to requirements when Molslinjen will take over ferry services to the Isle of Bornholm on 1 September 2018, Færgen (Danske Færger A/S) has reportedly sold the 2005-built HAMMERODDE for EUR 22m to Stena RoRo.
Migrant situation on board DFDS’ KAUNAS SEAWAYS finally solved
For the last three months, twelve North African migrants have been locked up in guarded cabins on board KAUNAS SEAWAYS. The migrants came on board hidden in trailers with goods from Turkey.

Irish Ferries will offer daily sailings to France when 55,000gt cruise ferry W.B. YEATS enters service in July 2018 with the 1,885-passenger/1,200-car newbuilding from FSG at Flensburg, Germany, departing Dublin for Cherbourg up to four times a week while the 1987-built OSCAR WILDE continues to link Rosslare with Cherbourg and Roscoff.
Coin ceremony held for COSTA VENEZIA
Today, 1 November, the coin ceremony was held at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone shipyard for COSTA VENEZIA, the first Costa ship built specifically for the Chinese market.
