Record Easter week for Fred. Olsen Express on the Canary Islands
FerryFred. Olsen Express has concluded the Easter period with record figures for passenger and vehicle traffic on the Canary Islands. Between Friday, 27 March, and Sunday, 5 April, the company transported a total of 166,000 passengers, representing a 6% increase compared to the same holiday period in 2025.
In terms of vehicle traffic, 43,000 units were recorded, 5% more than the previous year. By route, the connection linking the capital islands stood out as the busiest, with 48,000 passengers. This was followed by the Tenerife–La Gomera route, with 37,000 passengers, and Gran Canaria–Fuerteventura, with 29,000. These figures reflect both the increase in mobility during this period, and the consolidation of inter-island travel typical of Easter Week.
